Warp Attack : Dev-Log 5


We are working on the Game and adding new Features and improving the Gameplay.

Warp Attack System

We have implemented the Warp Attack mode. The player can fill the Warp Attack meter by continuously hitting enemy targets with the Main Tower Projectiles. Once it is filled, the warp attack begins and the player can collect additional money and points. 

While the warp attack is active, normal enemies do not move and cannot be damaged. Special enemies spawn that can be destroyed on their way to the warp point.

During the warp attack only the main turret is functional, it does not need ammunition during the warp attack.

For the design we have chosen different particle systems.

We implemented a third camera with Cinemachine and made a transition from camera 1 to camera 3. We added some post-processing effects to the camera to disorientate the camera view and blur it during the warp attack to give it more dynamics while the warp tunnel is active.

Audio Pool and Play

Other small adjustments are that we have created the Audio Play Controller, which is responsible for pooling and playing audio sounds. This system will also find its way into our Free Asset  Easy Audio - Unity Audio Settings in 5 Minutes by Stusse Games (itch.io) soon.
